Platelet-rich Plasma

The advances in Plastic Surgery and Regenerative Medicine allows us to offer last generation procedures, one of them is known as CUTANEOUS BIOSTIMULATION, where the skin cells are activated biologically and It is achieved by applying small amounts of blood plasma withdrawn from patient´s own blood.

Basically, the plasma is the liquid in which our blood cells float (erythrocytes, platelets and white blood cells), it is rich in growth factors with regenerative capacity of renewal cell and stimulating. These growth factors are molecules involved in the speed-up of regeneration process and tissue repair. We can get them from a part of our plasma, which is rich in platelets. This plasma is subsequently injected into specific areas of the skin, getting us a smoother and better-toned skin.

The plasma is about 60% of our blood volume.

How does it work?

The process involves obtaining a small amount of blood from the patient, later, by centrifugation, the different components of the blood are separated, the plasma(the clear fluid) and the platelet. This plasma now contains a concentration of growth factors 8 times higher than normal and it´s ready to inject into the areas to be treated.

What can be achieved?

It will definitely smooth the appearance of your skin making it look healthier, tighter and youthful. However, it will not work as permanent filler for people whose wrinkles and furrows are very deep.

The PRP can also be used for:

  • Baldness treatment
  • Stretch Mark improvement
  • Scarring treatment
  • Orthopedic surgery

How many session will I need?
It is recommended, one session every other three months during the first year, then, perform maintenance sessions every now and then.
