Gynecomastia Correction
Gynecomastia is the medical condition, in which men develop mammary glands similar to the women. It is caused by hormonal changes during puberty, medications, and in some cases is not possible to identify the cause. It can affect 40 to 60% of men. Surgery seeks to eliminate this excess breast tissue and provide a better aesthetic appearance.
Who can be a good candidate?

The procedure
It is performed in a licensed operating room under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation. Depending on the characteristics of the tissue, can be removed by liposuction or may require to cut off the excess tissue through an incision in the areola that won't be visible afterwards. This procedure takes around one to two hours.
Recovery
The patient, will be discharged on the same day of surgery, wearing a compression garment at chest level and with prescribed medication.

Pain: you will experience a mild pain that is bearable with prescription medication
Inflammation and purple: There may be some swelling after the procedure, you must wear the belt for three months to help the healing process and must avoid sun exposure during the next two months.
Return to activities: After five days the patient can return to normal activities gradually.

Recovery
It is recommended to remain at rest 2 to 3 days after the procedure, then the patient can progressively incorporate into his working life, having to wear a vest or special girdle for 2 months.
